About the Author

Daniel Fryer

Leading REBT psychotherapist Daniel Fryer is a former journalist and writer, with an MSc in rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapy (REBT), a diploma in clinical hypnosis and another in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy. A therapist since 2004, he works for The Priory Hospital in Bristol, runs his own private clinic (also in Bristol) and is a consultant at the occupational health division of walk-in private health care company, Medicentre, based in London, Waterloo. Prior to this, he was based full time in London (he moved to Bristol in 2016), and worked as a psychotherapist for ten years at the Royal Brompton Hospital specialising in pain control. He also ran two successful practices in London Victoria and Clapham, taught CBT and hypnotherapy on college courses, developed several specialist workshops, and gave regular talks on mental health and well-being topics.
