From the internet’s favourite labour nurse comes the instant NYT bestseller, BIRTH VIBES; a warm, funny, empowering birth guide that replaces rigid plans with confidence, calm and self-advocacy.

THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

‘Birth Vibes shows new mums what to expect with humour, heart and honesty.’ – Ina May Gaskin

From a labour and delivery nurse who has supported thousands during labour, Birth Vibes is the steady, empowering guide to feeling informed, heard and prepared on the maternity ward – even when birth does not go to plan.

Childbirth is one of life’s most powerful experiences, but it can also be overwhelming. Birth plans might help you feel prepared, but they cannot account for every intervention, complication or change of heart. Birth Vibes replaces rigid checklists with clear information and practical language to help parents and their support people make informed choices and advocate for the care they need.

More than 2 million people follow Jen Hamilton on social media for her down-to-earth guidance. Combining real-world expertise with humour and honesty, Jen explains what is happening, why it matters and what choices may be available, without judgement or false promises.

True stories and ‘Vibe Checks’ that frame experiences into practical insights.
A personalized Birth Vibes profile to identify what helps you feel safe, heard, respected and supported, and decide what’s most important to you.
Clear guidance for working with a care team, including example phrases for asking questions, expressing preferences and making decisions collaboratively.
Scripts and step-by-step guidance to help you stay flexible, advocate for yourself and adapt when circumstances change.

Whether you’re preparing to give birth or are supporting someone who is, Birth Vibes offers a clear, companionable and deeply practical way to feel safer, more informed and more confident for whatever birth brings.
