Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Kate Leth began publishing comics online in 2011. After building an audience on tumblr with their autobiographical work and regular comics for now-defunct geek hub ComicsAlliance, they wrote three Adventure Time graphic novels for KaBoom! including the Marceline-centric Seeing Red, which made the NYT Bestseller list for Graphic Novels. In addition, they penned three volumes of Bravest Warriors, a Fraggle Rock collection, and drew several covers, backup stories and more.
From there, Kate pursued comics from every angle. They’re best known for three volumes of Marvel’s Patsy Walker: AKA Hellcat, IDW’s Edward Scissorhands, original series Spell on Wheels from Dark Horse, as well as the webcomic Valley Ghouls. They’ve worked on everything from Vampirella to Transformers. A full list of comics credits can be found on ComicVine. Kate’s debut solo graphic novel (with colours by Diana Sousa) Mall Goth is out NOW from Simon & Schuster’s YA division, Simon Teen.
