Mary Poppins and The Fox in the Manger

Mary Poppins, a childhood classic by P.L. Travers which has been loved for generations, originally started life as several stories about a remarkable nanny. This collection brings together a dramatisation based on those original works, alongside an adaption of P.L. Traver's wonderful Christmas story, The Fox at the Manger.

In The Fox at the Manger, three young boys ask why there weren't any wild animals at the manger following the Christmas Eve service at St Paul's. What follows is a magical tale which tells the nativity story from the viewpoint of a fox, who gives the child in the manger a special gift the other animals cannot offer.
