About the authors

Seanan McGuire

Seanan McGuire lives and works in Washington State, where she shares her somewhat idiosyncratic home with her collection of books, creepy dolls, and enormous blue cats. When not writing – which is fairly rare – she enjoys travel, and can regularly be found any place where there are cornfields, haunted houses, or frogs. A Campbell, Hugo, and Nebula Award-winning author, Seanan’s first book was Rosemary and Rue, the beginning of the October Daye series — with more than twenty books across various series following since. Seanan doesn’t sleep much.

Her 2016 novella Every Heart a Doorway received a Nebula Award, Hugo Award, Locus Award, and Alex Award. in 2018, she began writing for Marvel with Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider.

For Miralti Firmansyah, the beat dropped when she brought the annual rave party Tomorrowland, straight from Belgium to comic book in 2013. She honed her skills doing work like “Maximum Force” in Heavy Metal magazine until she landed on the charming miniseries Star Lord and Kitty Pride. It was her first encounter with the Marvel family in 2015, teaming up with Jessica Kholinne. She then slipped happily into reminiscing about her childhood heroes while illustrating X-Men ’92.
