The Genuine Particle

A BBC Radio Comedy Thriller

Chaos ensues for a British boffin when the world's major governments learn that CERN's Large Hadron Collider may lead to time travel

An easy going British scientist causes quite a stir when he discusses the work of two Russian mathematicians who claim that when the Large Hadron Collider at CERN is turned on, there is the chance that it may cause a wormhole. This could allow a time traveller from the future to visit us.

Soon the world's major powers, including Britain, America, Russia and China (and Belgium) begin to get ready to gain control of any future time travellers, and thus also gain control their (presumed) futuristic weapons.

Starring Reece Shearsmith, Geoffrey Whitehead, Nicola Walker, Adrian Scarborough, Ingrid Oliver and Ben Willbond, this comedy thriller bears the unique property that every bit of physics in it is true - theoretically at least.
