About the authors

Gillian Lobel

After graduating with a degree in English, Gill worked as a secondary school teacher for many years before she began writing children's books. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and has a large (and very lively!) extended family, including twelve grandchildren, who keep her in touch with what it's like to be young.
Gill has published nine books so far: All My Friends, The Day Ravi Smiled, Starlight, Ellie and the Butterfly Kitten, Does Anybody Love Me, Midnight Tiger, More Precious than Gold, Little Bear's Special Wish and Hazel, Not a Nut.
She has also won an award for her poetry. She loves gardening, music and her cats.

Richard Watson

Richard Watson is an illustrator based in North Lincolnshire and has been working on children's books since graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2003 with a degree in illustration.

His work is mainly produced digitally and a few of his other interests include cinema, wildlife and music.
