The Sarjeant Gallery welcomes acclaimed New Zealand author Laurence Fearnley, back to Whanganui for the launch of her latest novel Scented. Researched and partly written whilst Laurence was writer– in–residence at the Glasgow Street Arts Centre, Scented has references to Whanganui and the Whanganui missionary Richard Taylor. The novel is described as a compelling and poignant search for identity through perfume.
