Aiming to boost sales of their cereal products during the back-to-school period, Kellogg’s engaged Penguin Random House to supply products for free book promotion.

After purchasing two specially marked boxes of Kellogg’s cereal, consumers were able to redeem one of our favourite children’s or leading women’s fiction titles complete with a message from Kellogg’s on the inside cover.

There were over 20 books to choose from including a children’s illustrated atlas and novels from Melina Marchetta and Morris Gleitzman.

The promotion was so successful that Kellogg’s ran it again the following year.
