Alice Clark-Platts is a former human rights lawyer who has worked at the UN International Criminal Tribunal in connection with the Rwandan genocide, and on cases involving Winnie Mandela and the rapper Snoop Dogg. A graduate of the Curtis Brown creative writing course, her novel Warchild has been shortlisted for the Impress Prize 2013, and this first DI Erica Martin novel, Bitter Fruits, won the Furniss Lawton Crime and Thriller Prize for unpublished crime writers.
