Barbara Brown Taylor

Barbara Brown Taylor is the New York Times bestselling author of An Altar in the World, Learning to Walk in the Dark, and Holy Envy. An Episcopal priest and professor emerita at Piedmont College, she was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and earned a place in the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame. Her work has appeared in The New York Times and been featured on NPR and On Being with Krista Tippett. She has been a visiting professor at Emory University, Mercer University, Columbia Theological Seminary, Oblate School of Theology, and the Arrendale State Prison for Women. She says the best teacher of her life is the farm where she lives in Habersham County, Georgia.
