Emma Bowd


Emma Bowd is an internationally published and award-winning author, and a dedicated literacy and disability advocate. A former occupational therapist and a mum of two, she is passionate about writing inclusive picture books that capture the joy of childhood, through imaginative and nature-based play. Emma delights in writing her read-aloud stories with vibrant rhyme and rhythm, and loves collaborating with talented illustrators to bring them to life. An active participant in the Australian children’s literature community, she is an engaging speaker and storytime presenter, and a committee member of the CBCA VIC Branch. Howl-o-ween is Emma’s sixth picture book, and is dedicated to her precious pooch and loyal writing buddy, Miss Winnie.
