Mark Pickering

Mark Pickering is a long-established New Zealand writer of walking and tramping guide books, as well as several history titles. Since his first publication in 1986, he has sold a total of over 150,000 books.

These include: 202 Great Walks, Day Walks of Canterbury and Kaikoura, and Huts: Untold Stories from Back-country New Zealand.

He lives in Christchurch with his partner and their daughter.
