Richard Powers has published fourteen novels, four of which have been nominated for the Booker Prize. He is a MacArthur Fellow and received the National Book Award for The Echo Maker and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for The Overstory. He lives in the Great Smoky Mountains.
