Sasha Stok, PhD, SEP, is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified Somatic Experiencing practitioner whose direct clinical work, teaching, and writing focuses on the impact of trauma exposure and systems involvement. She obtained her doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, and currently provides trauma-focused services for justice-involved youth, as well as frontline staff, in affiliation with the Bellevue Juvenile Justice Mental Health Services team in New York City. She also holds adjunct faculty positions at NYU and St. John’s University. Her work is fueled by the fundamental belief that all people hold the keys to their own empowerment and that resilience is fostered through safe connections with others.
