Simar Preet Kaur is a writer based in the Indian Himalaya. She received the PEN America/Jean Stein Grant for Literary Oral History for her unconventional approach to research in Sky Road, the Literature Fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Germany and the Charles Wallace Fellowship at University of Stirling, Scotland, amongst others. She worked for a decade with magazines before moving to the mountains.
