Sir Simon Schama is University Professor of Art History and History at Columbia University and contributing editor of The Financial Times. His twenty award-winning books include the two-volume A History of the Jews, Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution, Landscape and Memory, the History of Britain trilogy, The Power of Art and Foreign Bodies: Pandemics, Vaccines and the Health of Nations. His sixty documentary films for the BBC and PBS include the BAFTA- and Emmy-winning Simon Schama: The Road to Auschwitz.
