A new collection of poems and the companion volume to the popular bestseller This Day, Wendell Berry's Another Day is another stunning contribution to the poetry canon from one of America's most beloved writers

A companion to his beloved volume This Day and Wendell Berry's first new poetry collection since 2016, this new selection of Sabbath Poems are filled with spiritual longing and political extremity, memorials and celebrations, elegies and lyrics, alongside the occasional rants of the Mad Farmer, pushed to the edge yet again by his compatriots and elected officials.

With the publication of this new edition, it has become increasingly clear that the Sabbath Poems have become the very heart of Berry’s work.

Praise for Another Day

Englewood Review of Books, A Most Anticipated Book of the Year

"Berry conveys so perfectly the overlapping emotions of love and grief that, at times, I read through tears . . . These poems offer gifts of vision, of knowing that there is another way to live now on this Earth: a way that honors love, the land, and all beings." —Barbara J. King, NPR

"The pieces have a timeless quality . . . Berry’s writing has the remarkable quality of being both traditional and revolutionary . . . This is a collection from the heart of a poet whose philosophy of the interconnectedness of human life to nature remains as steadfast as the deeply rooted trees and river carving the land he writes about." —Sara Lynn Eastler, Southern Review of Books

"Another stunning contribution to the poetry canon from one of America’s most beloved writers." —Englewood Review of Books

"Berry vibrantly renders redemptive moments spent in nature. Readers will find solace in these contemplative and captivating pages." —Publishers Weekly
