For more experienced cooks, there is also guidance on building a storecupboard, equipping your kitchen as well as old-fashioned skills such as preserving and ice-cream making. Recipes include classics such as Potted Crab or modern reinventions such as an Oven-Baked Risotto Carbonara as well as Delia's innovative fat-free white sauces, so whether you have just left home, are cooking for your family or entertaining your friends, you will find everything you want to know.

This is truly a seminal cookbook - and the only one you will need to produce healthy, tasty, but trouble-free and affordable meals for you and your family.
