Everybody Hates HR

Your non-judgmental, humorous guide to thriving – not just surviving – in the workplace

Your non-judgmental, humorous guide to thriving in the workplace.

EVERYBODY HATES HR blends practical advice with humour, facts from podcasters, Lola and Velisa. Through personal anecdotes, real work dilemmas, and hard-earned lessons from their own journeys, Lola and Velisa discuss the tools and encouragement needed to navigate the ever-evolving workplace with confidence and purpose. This book is designed to feel like a \"mentor in your bag\" - something you can turn to for support, direction, and a reminder that you’re not alone. The book also provides special guidance on the issues unique to young Black and brown professionals such as handling microaggressions with confidence and professionalism, seeking out sponsorship, and carving out a personal brand that stays true to who you are, to stop just surviving and start thriving in the workplace.
