At 18 years old, Te Kahukura Boynton founded Māori Millionaire to help encourage conversations about money and mindset. By documenting her own journey, she now leads a community of over 60,000 individuals. At 19, Te Kahukura left her stable job and legal studies to pursue her dream of positively changing the world as a business owner. She’s now 21 and helping other business owners to create impact online, just as she has. In 2022, she said “It’s about buying land back, not Gucci bags”, demonstrating her ethos that financial independence will help uplift our communities and reduce disparities in outcomes. Her work has been recognised nationally, as a semi-finalist for Young New Zealander of the year 2025, a Y25 Trailblazer in 2024 and a United Nations Women’s Entrepreneurship award winner. Her debut book aims to make money simple as part of her overall mission to educate and inspire.
