Vanessa Kent is a British Colombian author who grew up between two languages - Spanish during the day with her mum, and English in the evenings with her dad’s storytelling. She studied History and Philosophy at university. In her free time, she can be found teaching, renovating her childhood home, and watching her three children layer their own sticky fingerprints over it. She returns to reading and writing at night, fully aware she should probably get more sleep, but unconvinced by the argument.
