The Gingerbread Man has an adventure in space in his next graphic novel for the earliest readers.

The Gingerbread Man and his class are in for something extra special today: a field trip to the space museum! They’ll learn all about the planets and stars from a real-life astronaut and play engineer to launch hand-made stomp rockets.

But when our favorite cookie accidentally hitches a ride on one of the rockets, he’ll have to gather his courage and shoot for the moon if he hopes to land among his classmates safely.

The Gingerbread Man’s series of graphic novels—published in both hardcover and paperback editions—is ideal for first and second graders, full of the hilarious rhymes and action-packed escapades kids know and love from his picture books.

Look for them all! Buttons on the Loose, Class Pet on the Loose, Paper Airplanes on the Loose, New Friend on the Loose, and Trick-or-Treaters on the Loose.

And don't miss this smart cookie's picture book adventures: The Gingerbread Man Loose at School, The Gingerbread Man Loose on the Fire Truck, The Gingerbread Man Loose at Christmas, The Gingerbread Man Loose at the Zoo, and The Gingerbread Man and the Leprechaun Loose at School!

Praise for The Gingerbread Man: Astronaut on the Loose: A Graphic Novel

Praise for The Gingerbread Man: Buttons on the Loose:
“Murray’s rhyming text lends itself well to a read-aloud but will also hold solo readers’ attention. . . No doubt fans of the picture books starring this edible detective will enjoy this tale.” —Kirkus Reviews

“It’s winning times two in this breezy summation of the frustration and triumph surrounding a beloved lost object, embodied by one smart cookie who’s also cute as a button.” —Publishers Weekly

Praise for The Gingerbread Man: Class Pet on the Loose:
“Delectable. . . Cartoon panels give the book a scene-by-scene flow, which especially works well for a clue-based pet hunt . . . Children reading on their own will have a blast, and caregivers and children alike will enjoy sharing it as well.” —Kirkus Reviews
