About the authors

Kat Zhang

Kat Zhang started writing her first novel at age twelve and hasn't let up since. In high school, she wrote What's Left of Me, which expanded into her Young Adult series, The Hybrid Chronicles. Since then, she's also published multiple Middle Grade novels and worked with the creators of AVATAR: The Last Airbender to create an AVATAR picture book. Her popular Amy Wu series has been featured by the New York Times, Parents magazine, NPR, and the 2021 Read for the Record Campaign, where over 2 million readers came together to read one of Amy's stories.

Eric Darnell

Eric Darnell is Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Baobab Studios, the world's leading independent interactive animation studio. Under Eric's leadership, Baobab Studios has won 5 Emmys, 2 Annie's, and first ever SIGGRAPH Immersive Best in Show Award. Baobab's latest VR piece, Baba Yaga, made its world premiere at the 2020 Venice Film Festival.
