The Twelve Birds of Christmas

An ornithological celebration of the festive season.

Naturalist Stephen Moss digs beneath the surface of pone of our most popular Christmas carols, to reveal that every gift - and verse - may represent a bird, in an ornithological celebration of the Festive Season. He weaves history, culture, bird behaviour and folklore into a compelling narrative for each species, tracing its fortunes over the past two centuries.
