Penguin Random House Australia and BBC studios are thrilled to announce that the Bluey publishing program will expand in 2024 to include three new illustrated chapter books.
In exciting news, the Bluey publishing program will expand in 2024 to include three new illustrated chapter books for readers aged six and up.
Bluey: Trains, the first book of the three, will be available from 5 March, with Bluey: Bus and Bluey: Taxi following in April and June, respectively.
The first storybook novel, Bluey: Trains, follows Bluey and Bingo in an imaginary game of trains. With all the characters Bluey fans love, the book features Bluey, Bingo, Mum, Dad and Poppy as they pretend to be other characters, such as an animal doctor (Dr Glenda) and an annoying passenger.
Based on the Bluey television episode Trains, the book also features charming black-and-white illustrations by Bluey Art Director, Rafferty Amor.
Since debuting on ABC KIDS in October 2018, Bluey has become a global success, amassing legions of dedicated fans around the world and collecting a plethora of awards including Logies, AACTAs, an International Emmy Award and a BAFTA.
In April 2019, Penguin Random House (PRH) became the official publisher of Bluey and was named publishing partner for the preschool brand in 2020. Since then, over six million copies of the Bluey books have sold in Australia and New Zealand, and this new collection of chapter books is the latest iteration of this exciting partnership.
Bluey: Trains is available for pre-order now, with the other two books to follow shortly.
