Chris Stringer

Chris Stringer is Britain’s leading palaeoanthropologist and one of the founders of the "Recent African Origin" theory, now the dominant model for how Homo sapiens evolved and spread across the world. He has worked at the Natural History Museum in London since 1973 and has been involved in many of the major developments in human evolution over the last half-century. A Fellow of the Royal Society and the author of more than 300 scientific papers, his books include The Origin of Our Species and Homo Britanicus.
