C.M. Basma

C. M. Basma is a British-Lebanese writer. She learnt English at the age of 5 and received her first literary award aged 9, solidifying in her an unbreakable belief that writing was her life’s calling.

As a devoted reader who grew up struggling to find books with non-harmful MENA representation, Celine made the decision to write herself into the stories she wished she’d had when she was younger.

When she’s not writing, she’ll be on stage at spoken word events reciting her poetry, or talking endlessly about her favourite books on her BookTok, @bookishwithb.
