The award aims to encourage the publication of new and exciting high-quality picture books from new New Zealand illustrators.
The Storylines Gavin Bishop Award for Illustration is now open for submissions!
This award is a fantastic opportunity for unpublished illustrators wanting to get published. With text provided (by the wonderful Sally Sutton) entrants will need to submit a storyboard, a page of rough drawings and two pieces of finished art to fit with text provided.
The winner receives a $1,500 monetary prize, mentoring and support from Gavin Bishop, and an offer of publication by Penguin Random House New Zealand.
